I have worked in the media business for 35-years selling television commercial time, 3-years in San Diego and 33-years in Los Angeles. I spent the last 22-years at a local independent station, KCAL-TV, which in it’s glory years broadcast both the Los Angeles Lakers and the LA Dodgers. I had the hottest tickets in town. That came to an end in 2012 as Time Warner Cable acquired both teams for broadcast on cable…bummer. I grew up as a child in Port Chester, NY and Mickey Mantle and YA Title were my heroes along with every other kid in NY. In 1964 we moved to La Canada, a suburb of LA, and my heroes changed to Sandy Koufax and Jerry West. I graduated from La Canada High in 1972 and then graduated from San Diego State in ’76. I then jumped right into the business world, great at the time, looking back, not so great.
Now I am out of the corporate world and have the opportunity to do some writing, add some comedy and laugh at what I used to think could be the end of the world. Hope you enjoy. I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org . Thanks.
